Introduction Portfolio Construction
Today I am goin to take a look at FAST Graphs Portfolio construction area of our tool. Both Premium and Basic subscribers have access to this – Premium Subscribers can create as many portfolios as they wish while Basic Subscribers can create up to three. Premium Subscribers also have access to 14 pre-loaded portfolios which consists of: ADR, Dividend Challengers, Dividend Champions, Dividend Contenders, DJIA30, NASDAQ100, REITs, REITs-Canada, S&P Dividend Aristocrats, S&P Dividend Aristocrats Canada, S&P 100, S&P 400,
S&P 500 and S&P 600.
Portfolio Review in Depth
Portfolio construction gives you the ability to track lists of stocks and ultimately utilize FAST Graphs to conduct research. From the Portfolios menu, you’ll be able to create portfolios, Review the portfolio, immediately graph the portfolio, edit the list of tickers, and edit the Buys and Sells for the individual stocks within it.
Portfolio Review gives the ability to quickly analyze any portfolio in table form. Different metrics, historical data, and estimate data can be easily added or removed at any time to customize the preferences of what data to look at for any given portfolio. Any view created can then be saved so the preferences will persist when returning to the specific portfolio.
Edit B/S lets you add buys and sells to the portfolio which will be tracked as green and red dots on FAST Graphs and in the Transaction tab in FAST Graphs. To add buys and sells, follow the prompt and fill in the data and click Update. You can also copy and paste in data from an excel sheet that follows the same format when inputting large amounts of data.
To customize the view, click on the Customize This Portfolio’s View button located in the top left corner. Under this tab, the following sections exist:
- General
- Current Price and Performance
- Historic
- Estimated EPS
- 3-5 TL Gwth EPS
- Est CF(FFO)
- 3-5 TL Gwth CF(FFO)
