On Saturday, December 4, 2021, starting at 10:00 p.m. EST we will be launching the New FAST Graphs. This may cause temporary interruptions. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Transactions

The Transactions tab will list the data of the buy and sell transactions that you have entered in your portfolio under the “Edit B/S” (buy/sell) tab.

To enable the portfolio so it populates the Historical Graph and the Transactions Tab, click the drop-down in the Navigation Bar and select the portfolio.

The Transactions Tab has three sections to track your buys and sells:

Buys

Buys will display all of the buys of the selected stock in your selected portfolio. Buys has four columns of data:

  • Date when purchased
  • Quantity of shares purchased
  • Cost of the investment at that time
  • Cost per share of the investment

Below your transactions, there is a Totals row. Quantity will show the total amount of shares you have. Cost will show the total amount you have invested. Cost/Share will show your average cost of your purchased shares.

Sells

Sells will display all of the sells of the selected stock in your selected portfolio. Sells has four columns:

  • Date when sold
  • Quantity of shares sold
  • Proceeds from selling
  • Proceeds per share of the sale

Below your transactions, there is a Totals row. Quantity will show the total amount of shares you have. Proceeds will show the total amount you have sold. Proceeds/Share will show your average proceeds of your sold shares.

Holding

The Holding section will display the amount of shares you are holding and ultimately the principal you have at risk in the market. Holding will only have a Totals row unlike Buy and Sells because it is calculated from the totals of the other two sections.

  • Quantity shows the total amount of shares you are currently holding.
    • Quantity = Total Quantity Buys – Total Quantity Sells
  • Market Value shows the current market value of the shares you are holding.
    • Market Value = (Quantity Holding) x (Last Trading Day’s Closing Price)
  • Dollars at Risk shows how much of your principal is at risk. This can be a positive number that is never higher than your total investment, but it can also be a negative number.
If it is a negative number, that means your proceeds from selling are higher than your original investment showing that you have made more money than you invested.

    • Dollars at Risk = Total Cost of Buys – Total Proceeds of Sales
  • Average Cost/Share shows the average cost of your shares and is the same as the Average Cost/Share underneath the Buys section.

From the Transactions Tab, you can navigate directly to the buys and sells file of the selected portfolio. To do so, click the Edit transactions in Portfolio.
